1. Open your project.
2. Go through the project and make sure everything's organized:
- name the tracks properly (e.g. KICK, CLAP, BASSLINE, PIANO CHORDS, etc...)
- sort the tracks by type (e.g. all drum sounds close, all percussion, all synths, all vocals, etc...)
3. If the project has tracks using third-party plugins (synths or effects that don't come with Ableton installation) right-click on those tracks and select "Freeze Track".
4. Click to FILE and select COLLECT ALL AND SAVE.
5. Select "Yes" for all four options.
6. Click OK.
7. Go back to your Finder/File Explorer window.
8. Select the main folder (the one holding the project file ending with .als, and all other project-related folders like Ableton Project Info, Backup, Samples, etc) and compress it in zip or rar format.
9. Name the zip/rar file in this format: Year_Month_Day_Artist Name - Song/Project Name (e.g. 2022_04_05_John Slate - The New Song)
10. Drop the zip/rar file
here.
