We Move Music Croatia releases Croatia on the Move, a double LP selected by KEXP’s Kevin Cole
Kevin Cole of KEXP has selected 23 Croatian artists for Croatia on the Move, a double LP released by We Move Music Croatia and premiering at SHIP Festival in Šibenik. Side C carries “Bring Back the Noise / Vratite mi buku” by Sara Renar, a song Cycle Studio Zagreb recorded and mixed.
What the record is
We Move Music Croatia, the music export office, wanted a physical release to put Croatian music directly into the hands of international professionals rather than another playlist. The selection was handed to Kevin Cole, Senior Programming Advisor at KEXP in Seattle, who was given a broad range of contemporary Croatian artists and complete freedom to choose. His 23 names across four sides span rock, pop, electronic, jazz, experimental and alternative: freekind., nemanja, Chui, ABOP, ŽIVA, ETHER, Jonathan, IDEM, Tidal Pull, DJECA!, Them Moose Rush, Žen, Neon Lies, pocket palma, Bad Daughter, Nipplepeople, Sara Renar, Trokut, Irena Žilić, Porto Morto, LHD, Daliborovo Granje and Kries. The sleeve is by Kazinoti & Komenda and the record was pressed at Austro Vinyl.

C5 is Sara Renar’s “Bring Back the Noise / Vratite mi buku”, from her fifth album Nježne riječi. Music and lyrics by Sara Renar, production by Sara Renar and Jan Kincl, arrangement by Dimitrije Simović and Sara Renar, recorded and mixed by Jan Kincl at Cycle Studio Zagreb, mastering by Sven Weisemann.
