Begin - Love International Recordings 001 (2018)

INFO

Love International Recordings 001 is the first release on the record label of Love International, the festival in Tisno run by Nick Colgan and Dave Harvey, formerly The Garden Festival. It is a four-track 12" EP by Begin, the alias of James Holroyd: one of the first guest DJs at the original Garden Festival in Petrčane, the Chemical Brothers' long-serving tour DJ, a Back to Basics resident since the 1990s and co-founder of Bugged Out. Wood Trees opens with guitar picking and the voice of Ana Ivušić, followed by Day Pulse, the piano-house Garden Interlude and the Balearic closer Into The Fun. Distributed by Above Board; out on Love International Recordings (LIR001), 4 May 2018.

PRESS

“First as The Garden than as Love International, Nick Colgan and Dave Harvey's sun-soaked Tisno event has long been a favourite of the burgeoning Croatian summer festival scene. (…) That first release comes from Begin, AKA James Holroyd, one of the first guest DJs at the Garden festival's original site in Petrcane.” — Matt McDermott, Resident Advisor, 20 March 2018
