Sara Renar's Nježne rijeci is the title single and opening statement of her fifth studio album of the same name — a plea for gentleness in hard years, set against a Balkan city "trying hard not to be one." Written and sung by Renar and arranged with Dimitrije Simović, the song was produced by Renar and Jan Kincl and mixed by Kincl at Cycle Studio Zagreb, where its live horns, guitars and electronics were drawn together. Out on Croatia Records, 4 March 2025.

"That gentle leap is stronger than it first appears: it disarms the listener with subtlety, revealing its complexity only later. The brass section underlines, with arranging precision, the line 'In what language should I dream of love?'. It moves with quiet confidence, gliding past skepticism and proving how susceptible we are to its charms — at once the most melodic song that could land on national radio." — Ivana Lulić, Glazba.hr
