Muzika.hr reviewed In Plain Sight the day after its 29 May 2018 release on PDV Records, under the headline “Sv(j)e(tski), a naše!” — roughly, world-class, yet ours. Reviewer Tena Dobranić sets up the pairing: after nearly two decades on the techno and house scene, Jan began working in 2016 with Regis Kattie, a French jazz keyboardist living in Croatia, on the improvisation-driven material that became this jazz/deep house album.
