Guest mix — INSITE Guestmix #87, all night at Club Nemo

Number 87 in INSITE’s guest mix series, and an unusually long one: rather than a standard hour, Jan sent a full all-night set of around five hours, recorded solo at Club Nemo in Rijeka, where he holds a monthly to bi-monthly residency. The accompanying text runs through his background, his releases on BBE, Far Out, Sonar Kollektiv and Get Physical, and his three 2022 Elector awards.

What is on the mix

The recording is one continuous night behind the decks — in Jan’s description, everything from classic American house to Detroit techno and a lot in between. He told INSITE he suggested publishing the whole thing because “it sounds too good for me to cut it”. The short Q&A at the end is in character: the DJ he would most like to have a drink with is Theo Parrish, and his favourite track is Galaxy 2 Galaxy’s “Hi Tech Jazz” on Underground Resistance.
