Arsen Pavešić’s electronic new-releases column covers five acts; one entry is Lights Out, the sixth Cycle Records release, out in four versions.
The Main and Alternative Mix are read as deep house takes on the atmosphere of early Detroit records. Ishfaq a.k.a. Samito plays keys, and Trinidadian Deep contributes two remixes. Bandcamp first, with vinyl due in June 2026.
“The sixth release for the Zagreb label Cycle Records is the work of its founder and head, Jan Kinčl. It is a single titled ‘Lights Out’ in four versions, of which the first and last (Main and Alternative Mix) sound like sophisticated deep house interpretations of the atmosphere of early Detroit material.”
