Press — Two Elector awards at the first ceremony, 2022
Glazba.hr’s report from the first Elector awards, held at Tvornica Kulture in Zagreb on 3 February 2022. The independent music-journalism prize, initiated by the DJ section of the Croatian Musicians’ Union and the Croatian Composers’ Society, honoured the Croatian electronic scene’s best of the year. Jan Kinčl took home the most awards of the night — two.
What the piece covers
Jan won House Single of the Year for “Suede”, made with Regis Kattie, and shared Album/Compilation of the Year as a participant in the Croatia Earthquake Relief Project charity compilation, which won alongside Eddy Ramich Presents Croatian Blue. The report also covers the other winners — Filip Motovunski (Remix), Time to Sleep (New (S)elector), Petar Dundov and Gregor Tresher’s “Ubermod” (Techno Single), Egoless (Bass Single), Wake The Lake festival (Event) and Insolate, voted DJ of the Year by the public.
